Description
RAB7A produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 227 amino acids (1-207a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 25.6kDa. RAB7A is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction
RAB7A belongs to the Ras superfamily of small Rab GTPases. RAB7A connects with the RIPL effector protein to regulator membrane trafficking from early to late endosome and to lysosomes. RAB7A can also regulate growth receptor endocytic trafficking, degradation, maturation of phagosome and autophagic vacuoles.

Formulation
The RAB7A protein solution (0.5mg/ml) is formulated in 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 1mM DTT, 100mM NaCl and 30% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
