Description
MYL4 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 205 amino acids (1-197 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 22.6kDa. MYL4 is fused to an 8 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction
MYL4 is a hexameric ATPase cellular motor protein which is composed of two nonphosphorylatable alkali light chains, two heavy chains and two phosphorylatable regulatory light chains. MYL4 encodes a myosin alkali light chain which is located in embryonic muscle and adult atria. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein were found for this gene.

Formulation
MYL4 protein solution (0.5mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 150mM NaCl, 1mM DTT and 20% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
