Description
IL2RB produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain (27-240 a.a.) and fused to a 6 aa His Tag at C-terminus containing a total of 220 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 25.5kDa.IL2RB shows multiple bands between 28-40kDa on SDS-PAGE, reducing conditions and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms
Interleukin 2 receptor subunit beta, IL2RB, CD122, IL15RB, P70-75, IL-2R subunit beta.
Introduction
I nterleukin 2 receptor is a protein that involves immune responses that are mediated through T cells. The IL2 receptor exists in three ways in which it can bind to IL2. CD25 is the lowest affinity ( a monomer of the alpha subunit ), therefore, it is not part of the signal transduction process. The highest affinity has three heterotrimer subunits ( alpha/beta/gamma ), the intermediate affinity is found to have gamma/beta subunit heterodimer . Both forms are part of the receptor mediated endocytosis and mitogenic signals transduction from IL2.
