This antibody is specific for the QKI-5 protein and shows no cross-reactivity with QKI-6, QKI-7 or QKI-7b. QKI-5 is a RNA-binding protein that plays a central role in myelinization.

Immunogen
This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with synthetic peptide amino acids 315- 331 (ATKVRRHDMRVHPYQRI, with nuclear localization signal underlined) of human QKI-5.
Application Notes
Immunohistochemistry has been preformed on human carotid arteries using this antibody (de Bruin et al, 2016; PMID:27029405). This antibody has also shown its use in western blotting on the lysate of human carotid arteries (de Bruin et al, 2016; PMID:27029405). Western blot has been preformed on both human and mouse proteins using this antibody (van der Veer, 2013; PMID:23963726).
