Specificity
This antibody is specific for the PARIS/ZNF746 protein. The antibody does not cross-react with ZNF783 or ZNF398. ZNF746 is a transcription repressor that specifically binds to the 5'-TATTTT[T/G]-3' consensus sequence on promoters and repress transcription of PGC-1-alpha (PPARGC1A), thereby playing a role in regulation of neuron death.

Immunogen
This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with a fusion protein amino acids 1-322 (N-terminus) of human ZNF746.
Application Notes
Western blot was preformed on mouse lung tissue using this antibody (Zhang et al, 2014; PMID:24778451). This antibody was used for immunohistochemistry on mouse brains (Brahmachari et al, 2019; PMID:31237944). The antibody was used in the immunopercipitation of proteins from the brain of a mouse (Brahmachari et al, 2019; PMID:31237944).
