Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-155 |
Name | Anti-Ataxin-1, 11NQ mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD-N76/8 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | IP, WB, IHC |
Species Reactivity | Rat, Human, Mouse |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for amino acids 164-197 of HCN1. It shows no cross-reactivity against HCN2. HCN1 is a chromatin-binding factor that repress Notch signaling in the absence of Notch intracellular domain by acting as a CBF1 corepressor. |
Alternative Name | N76/8R; Atxn1; Spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 protein homolog; Ataxin-1 |
UniProt | P54254 |
Immunogen | This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with a synthetic peptide amino acids 164-197 of mouse ataxin-1. |
Application Notes | This antibody has been used in a western blot experiment on mouse brain lysates and HeLa cell lysates (Suh et al, 2019; PMID:31442405) (Barclay et al, 2014; PMID:24179173). Immunohistochemistry was preformed with this antibody on the brain of mice (Suh et al, 2019; PMID:31442405). The antibody has shown use immunoprecipitation experiments of HeLa cell lysate (Barclay et al, 2014; PMID:24179173). |
Antibody First Published | Barclay et al. Systems biology analysis of Drosophila in vivo screen data elucidates core networks for DNA damage repair in SCA1 Hum Mol Genet. 2014 Mar 1;23(5):1345-64. PMID:24179173 |
Note on publication | they performed a systematic in vivo screen of all available Drosophila melanogaster homolog DNA repair genes, and we tested the effect of their overexpression on lifespan and developmental viability in Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 1 (SCA1) Drosophila models expressing human mutant Ataxin-1 (Atxn1). |
