Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-210 |
Name | Anti-Kvbeta1.1 K+ channel mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD-K9/40R |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | WB, IF, IHC |
Species Reactivity | Rat, Human, Mouse |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for Kv-beta-1. It does not cross-react with Kvβ1.2, Kvβ1.3, Kvβ2. Kv- beta-1 is a cytoplasmic potassium channel subunit that modulates the characteristics of the channel- forming alpha-subunits. Modulates action potentials via its effect on the pore-forming alpha subunits |
Alternative Name | Voltage-gated potassium channel subunit beta-1; Kcnab1; K(+) channel subunit beta-1; Kv-beta-1; K9/40 |
UniProt | P63143 |
Immunogen | This antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide of amino acids 7-28 of rat Kv1.1. |
Application Notes | Immunofluorescence was preformed using this antibody on primary hippocampal neurons from postnatal day 1 Sprague–Dawley rats (Cho et al, 2020; PMID:33168717). Primary hippocampal neurons from postnatal day 1 Sprague–Dawley rats were used for immunohistochemistry with this antibody (Cho et al, 2020; PMID:33168717). This antibody was used for immunoblotting on left ventricular mouse tissue lysates (Kilfoil et al, 2019; PMID:31639389). |
Antibody First Published | Andrews et al. A toolbox of IgG subclass-switched recombinant monoclonal antibodies for enhanced multiplex immunolabeling of brain eLife. 2019; 8: e43322. PMID:30667360 |
Note on publication | Describes the generation of a library of recombinant monoclonal antibodies (R- mAbs) from a pool of mAb-producing hybridomas for neuroscience research. |
