The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with chemically acetylated keyhole limpet hemocyanin.
Application Notes
This antibody is capable of identifying acetylated BSA and various acetlylysine containing mouse peptides in an ELISA. This antibody can also recognize acetyllysine-containing protein from human T cell leukemia cell line MOLT-4F lysate in a western blot assay (EP1783142, ISBN-10: 1594545502). The HRP-SH conjugated ACK2F12 was capable of detecting chemically conjugated BSA in a western blot assay (EP1783142). This antibody was used in the study of organ specific post translational lyine acetylation in mice (PMID: 16247734)
