This antibody is specific for human and mouse CD27. CD27 is a receptor for CD70/CD27L. It may play a role in survival of activated T-cells. CD27 might also play a role in apoptosis through association with SIVA1.

The hamster version of this antibody was raised by immunizing a armenian hamster with armenian hamster fibroblasts transfected with the mouse CD27 DNA.
Application Notes
To study expression of CD27 on T lymphocytes, immunoprecipitation was performed on C57BL/6 thymocytes using the hamster version of this antibody (Gravestein et al, 1995; pmid：7547681).
