This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with a 113 amino acid synthetic peptide corresponding to the cytoplasmic domain of murine CD3 zeta.

G3 antibody might be utilised in the detection and analysis of T cells as well as in research on lymphoid malignancies. This antibody was shown to exhibit strong affinity to CD3 zeta in ELISA and Western blot and to be very effective in precipitating CD3 zeta (as well as its phosphorylated form) from Jurkat T cell lysate (van Oers et al., 1994).
