Cat. No.
MABL-1357
Application
ELISA, Imaging
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Human
Clone No.
MA-15C5
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody is directed against a neoantigenic determinant expressed on the human fragment D-dimer. D-dimer is a protein fragment (small piece) that's made when a blood clot dissolves in your body. At D-dimer test is done to determine if a person has any blood clotting disorder.
Alternative Names
XDP; Fragment D-dimer; Fibrin degradation fragment; Fibrin degradation product; Fibrin
UniProt
P02671
Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with purified fragment D- dimer from cross linked human fibrin.
Application Notes
This antibody has a 1000 fold higher affinity for binding human fragment D-dimer than for human fibrinogen. It could effectively bind D-dimer from human plasma clots and can be used for thrombus imaging in an animal model in vivo (PMID: 2749602). This antibody has been used in an ELISA assay for the quantification of fragment-D dimer in plasma (PMID: 3127914).
