Specificity
This antibody binds to an epitope on the Der p 2 which overlaps with the human IgE binding sites. The antibody recognized the six variants: Der p 2.0101, Der p 2.0102, Der p 2.0103, Der f 2.0101, Der f 2.0102, and Der f 2.0103.

The original antibody was isolated from a combinatorial phage display library generated from a mite allergic patient.
Application Notes
The crystal structure of Der p 2.0103–7A1Fab was determined. The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The antibody was able to inhibit Der p 2.0103 (Glesner et al., 2019; PMID: 31554696).
