From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody binds human dihydropyrimidinase-related protein 1 (CRMP1). This protein is necessary for signaling by class 3 semaphorins and subsequent remodeling of the cytoskeleton. It is also involved in invasive growth and cell migration.
Alternative Names
CRMP1; DPYSL1; ULIP3; ULIP-3; DRP-1; CRMP-1; Collapsin response mediator protein 1; Unc-33-like phosphoprotein 3

Immunogen
The original antibody was isolated from a VHH library generated by immunization of an alpaca with whole glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cells.
Application Notes
This antibody was used for identification of CRMP1 protein in cytosolic and membrane protein fractions of glioblastoma (GBM) tissues using western blotting. It was reported that CRMP1 expression was high in GBM compared to reference samples. It was reported that CRMP1 was a good marker to distinguish glioma tissues from reference tissues. ELISA was used for the screening of the nanobody library and identification of specific binders that showed specificity for GBM proteins (PMID: 28498803).
