Specificity
This antibody recognises human FANCM (other species were not tested but there is high sequence conservation). FANCM is a part of a larger FA (Fanconi anemia) complex. It is engaged in DNA repair, resistance to DNA cross-linking drugs and prevention of chromosomal breakage.

Immunogen
CV5.1 antibody was raised in mouse using His-tagged denatured FANCM (aa 1507-1679) made in E coli as the immunogen.
Application Notes
IHC: CV5.1 antibody successfully detected FANCM in human fetal and adult ovaries (Fouquet et al., 2017). WB: Fouquet et al. (2017) also performed western blot analysis detecting FANCM with this antibody. IHC: FANCM in human testicular sections was visualised by the CV5.1 antibody (Kasak et al., 2018).
