Clone No. | AFD- MU551 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | crystallography |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | MU551 binds an epitope that is close to the middle of the CD38 molecule, on the opposite side of the active site pocket. |
Alternative Name | Cluster of Differentiation 38; ADP-Ribosyl Cyclase 1; ADPRC1; ADPRC 1; 2-Phospho-Cyclic-ADP-Ribose Transferase; Cyclic ADP-Ribose Hydrolase 1; 2-Phospho-ADP-Ribosyl Cyclase; NAD(+) Nucleosidase; ADP-Ribose Transferase; Ecto-Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleoti |
UniProt | P28907 |
Immunogen | The C-terminal domain of human CD38 (residue 45–300) was expressed and produced in a yeast expression system. The purified recombinant protein was used as an antigen to immunize llamas. Phage display technology was used to obtain positive clones against CD38. |
Application Notes | The nanobody MU551 has been crystallised with CD38. |
Antibody First Published | Li et al. Immuno-targeting the multifunctional CD38 using nanobody. Sci Rep. 2016 Jun 2;6:27056 PMID:27251574 |
Note on publication | Describes increased CD38 expression in malignant cells and its potential as a drug target for cancer therapy. |
