Specificity
This antibody is specific for both native and denatured GST protein. GST protein is a protein Glutathione S-transferase that catalyzes the nucleophilic attack of the sulfur atom of glutathione on the electrophilic groups of a wide range of exogenous and endogenous compounds.

Immunogen
The mouse version of this antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with GST-9.11 fusion protein.
Application Notes
To make sure fusion proteins were fused to the plastic surface the mouse version of this antibody was used in an ELISA (Ramos and DeSimone, 1996; pmid：8698817). An ELISA was preformed on petri dishes coated with fusion proteins to confirm the absorption of the proteins to the petri dish (Ramos et al, 1996; pmid：8787760).

Regions of FN required for the attachment and migration of involuting marginal zone (IMZ) cells were analyzed in vitro using FN fusion protein substrates. IMZ cell attachment to FN is mediated by the Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) sequence located in the type III-10 repeat and by the Pro-Pro-Arg-Arg-Ala-Arg (PPRRAR) sequence in the type III-13 repeat of the Hep II domain.
