Immunogen
The antibody was generated by immunizing mice with Glycophorin A.
Application Notes
The Fab fragment recognized glycophorin a on the surface of erythrocytes by immunoprecipitation or western blotting techniques. The number of binding sites and dissociation constants of the Fab' fragment was determined (n = 4.66 × 10^5 sites/erythrocyte, Kd =9.5 × 10^-8 M) (Catimel et al. 1993; PMID: 8228269). This antibody was used for detection of Glycophorin A by flow cytometry (Lansdorp et al., 1992; PMID: 1375263).
