Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody recognizes and binds human CD39. NTPDase 1 (ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase, also known as CD39/ENTPD1 or vascular CD39, functions together with another enzyme, CD73 (ecto-5'- nucleosidase), to hydrolyze extracellular adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and adenosine diphosphate (ADP) to generate adenosine, which binds to adenosine receptors and inhibits T-cell and natural killer (NK)-cell responses, thereby suppressing the immune system. This protein could also be implicated in the prevention of platelet aggregation by hydrolyzing platelet-activating ADP to AMP. |
Alternative Name | ENTPD1; NTPDase 1; Ectonucleoside triphosphate Di phosphohydrolase 1; Ecto-ATP Di phosphohydrolase 1; Ecto-ATPDase 1; Ecto-ATPase 1; Ecto-apyrase; Lymphoid cell activation antigen |
