From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This confirmation-dependent antibody is specific for human INSR, reacting with an epitope within the CR domain of the alpha subunit (amino acids 191-290). It does not cross-react with rat, mouse or rabbit INSR, and displays low cross-reactivity with bovine INSR.
Alternative Names
CD220; human insulin receptor; insulin receptor; HHF5; IR; 18 146
UniProt

Immunogen
This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with purified human placental insulin receptor.
Application Notes
This antibody has been used in immunoprecipitation assays, with both radiolabelled human insulin receptor (hINSR) and hINSR-radiolabelled insulin complexes (Soos et al, 1986). This antibody has been shown to enhance insulin binding to IM-9 cells (Soos et al, 1986).
