From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody specifically recognizes canine ICOS, which enhances all basic T-cell responses to a foreign antigen, namely proliferation, secretion of lymphokines, up-regulation of molecules that mediate cell-cell interaction, and effective help for antibody secretion by B-cells.
Alternative Names
CD278; Inducible T-cell costimulator; Activation-inducible lymphocyte immunomediatory molecule; Inducible co-stimulator; Inducible costimulator; caICOS; canine ICOS; dog ICOS
UniProt
Q7YR73
Immunogen
This antibody was raised by immunizing RBF/DnJ mice with caICOS-murine-IgG2a fusion and hybridomas were generated using accepted methods.
Application Notes
3F12 can be used to identify canine ICOS and analyse its activity. The antibody is an antagonist of ICOS and exhibits the ability to significantly suppress mixed leukocyte reactions (MLR) (Sato et al., 2013; pmid: 23694952). Anti-ICOS antibody was also shown to be an effective agent that can be used in the treatment development of Canine Chronic Graft-versus-Host Disease (GVHD) (Graves et al., 2017; pmid: 28958896).
