The original antibody was raised by immunising BALB/C mice with recombinant chicken IL-4.
Application Notes
The interleukin 4 is a cytokine that induces differentiation of naive helper T cells (Th0 cells) to Th2 cells. The antibody was used to explore the functionality of chicken IL-4. The specificity of this antibody (IgG2a) was confirmed in ELISA analysis (Chaudhari et al, PMID: 30459004). The antibody detected the recombinant chIL-4 by western blot. Similarly, the antibody detected chIL-4 production in HD11 cells by immunocytochemistry. This antibody was also used in flow cytometry analysis. The antibody was used in in vitro neutralization assay using HD11 cells and primary monocytes (Chaudhari et al, 2018; pmid: 30459004).
