The antibody is specific for LAG3. Lymphocyte activation gene 3 protein is an inhibitory receptor on antigen activated T-cells. It delivers inhibitory signals upon binding to ligands, such as FGL1.

Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing transgenic HuMab or KM mice with recombinant human LAG-3 protein.
Application Notes
The binding characterization of this antibody to human LAG3-Fc fusion protein was done using ELISA. The original human IgG antibody was reported to bind human LAG-3 in the sub picomolar range. This antibody was effective in inhibiting the binding of LAG3 to MHC class II molecules in an in vitro binding assay. In the antigen-specific T cell response assay, this antibody can stimulate the production of IL- 2 (CN109748963).
