This antibody is specific for the lambda chain of human IgG. The lambda chain is a constant region of immunoglobulin light chains. Immunoglobulins, also known as antibodies, are membrane-bound or secreted glycoproteins produced by B lymphocytes.

The mouse version of this antibody was raised by immunizing a BALB/c mouse with purified human IgG.
Application Notes
To characterize newly generated antibodies, flow cytometry was performed on tumor cells incubated with the new antibodies using the mouse version of this antibody to stain the antibodies (Suárez et al, 2004; pmid:15183930).
