The original mouse IgG1 version of this antibody was raised against ferret immunoglobulins (IgG + IgM).
Application Notes
This antibody is specific for the ferret lambda light chain of B cell surface receptor (BCR) and enables segreation of kappa and lambda B cells representing great improvement over polyclonal anti-ferret Ig. It can be used as an indicator of B cell malignancies such as multiple myeloma. It was screened for reactivity against ferret peripheral blood mononuclear cells by FCM what demonstrated specificity for CD79B+ B cells (Kirchenbaum and Ross, 2017; pmid:28286781).
