From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody recognizes human α4β2 receptor protein. The AChR responds by an extensive change in conformation after binding acetylcholine, that affects all subunits and leads to opening of an ion- conducting channel across the plasma membrane permeable to sodium ions.
Alternative Names
CHRNB2; Nicotinic acetylcholine α4β2 receptor; Neuronal acetylcholine receptor subunit beta-2; human α4β2 nicotinic receptor; AChR
UniProt
P17787
Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing female BALB/c mice with human α4β2 receptor protein purified in n-dodecyl-β-D-maltopyranoside (DDM).
Application Notes
The binding characterization of this antibody to human α4β2 nicotinic receptor was done using ELISA.
