CD314; NKG2-D type II integral membrane protein; Killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily K member 1; NK cell receptor D; NKG2-D-activating NK receptor; KLRK1
UniProt

Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with soluble NKG2-D fragments containing amino acids from 64-462 and 123-462.
Application Notes
The NKG2D (Natural Killer Group 2 Member D) protein is an activating receptor that enables NK and CD8+ T cells to recognize and eliminate infected or transformed endogenous cells. However, incorrect regulation of this receptor on immune cells also appears to lead to the development of autoimmune diseases such as type I diabetes, celiac disease, and RA. This antibody positively reacts with NKG2D on CD8-positive T cells and to CD56-positive natural killer cells. The binding was confirmed by FACS analysis (Steigerwald, 2008).
