Immunogen
Human E3G.
Application Notes
The antibody is specific for Oestrone-3-glucuronide (E3G), a urinary metabolite of 17β- estradiol, a hormone secreted by the developing ovarian follicles. The monoclonal antibodies can be used clinically to detect levels of E3G in urine samples of women, providing a non-invasive test for determining the fertile period, indicating the time of ovulation. The antibody also has a lower affinity (1 nM) for estriol 3- (β-D-glucuronide), which differs to E3G by a single hydroxyl group.
