This antibody binds phosphorylated phosphoinositide phospholipase C-gamma, which mediates the production of the second messenger molecules diacylglycerol (DAG) and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3). It also plays an important role in the regulation of intracellular signaling cascades.

Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing rabbits with recombinant phosphorylated peptide of protein kinase B (PHFPQF(pS)YSAS) conjugated with KLH as an immunogen.
Application Notes
The binding reactivity of this antibody to recombinant phosphorylated protein kinase B peptide was confirmed using ELISA. The binding reactivity was further confirmed using western blot, of pAkt from NIH3T3 cell lysates. The scFv version of this antibody was used fused to human IgG1 using a suitable linker for the generation of scFv-Fc mini-antibody. This minibody was capable of immunoprecipitating pAkt proteins.
