This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with schizont-enriched P. falciparum.
Application Notes
This antibody has been used in indirect immunofluorescence analysis to stain schizonts and free merezoites in acetone-fixed parasite samples (Siddiqui et al, 1986), and in immunoprecipitation (Siddiqui et al, 1986) and ELISA (Yoshida et al, 1999; Mazumdar et al, 2009) experiments. This antibody reacts strongly with native PfMSP-1 in immunoblot and ELISA analysis, but reactivity declines under denatured conditions ( Mazumdar et al, 2009).
