ELISA
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Porphyromonas gingivalis
Clone No.
Nb01
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody binds N-terminal part comprising amino acids from 44–217 of the PorM protein of Porphyromonas gingivalis. PorM is a membrane protein that is involved in the assembly of the type IX secretion system (T9SS) in Porphyromonas gingivalis, a major bacterial pathogen that is responsible for periodontal disease in humans.
Alternative Names
Por secretion system protein porM/gldM; T9SS component cytoplasmic membrane protein PorM
UniProt
B2RLE8
Immunogen
The original antibody was isolated from a nanobody phage-display naïve library generated from the peripheral blood of llamas immunized with purified periplasmic domain (residues 36–516) of PorM of Porphyromonas gingivalis. The specific antibody was isolated by panning the library against periplasmic domain of PorM protein.
Application Notes
The binding specificity of this antibody towards N-terminal part of the PorM protein was determined using ELISA. The affinity of the antibody was found to be Kd= 1.8 ± 0.7 nM (PMID: 28471361).
