ELISA
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Porphyromonas gingivalis
Clone No.
Nb30
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody binds N-terminal part comprising amino acids from 225–516 of the PorM protein of Porphyromonas gingivalis. PorM is a membrane protein that is involved in the assembly of the type IX secretion system (T9SS) in Porphyromonas gingivalis, a major bacterial pathogen that is responsible for periodontal disease in humans.
Alternative Names
Por secretion system protein porM/gldM; T9SS component cytoplasmic membrane protein PorM
UniProt
B2RLE8
Immunogen
The original antibody was isolated from a nanobody phage-display naïve library generated from the peripheral blood of non-immunized llamas. The specific antibody was isolated by panning the library against periplasmic domain of PorM protein of Porphyromonas gingivalis.
Application Notes
The binding specificity of this antibody towards C-terminal part of the PorM protein was determined using ELISA. The affinity of the antibody was found to be Kd= 4.5 ± 1.0 nM (PMID: 28471361).
