Specificity
This antibody recognises Rad51C in human, mouse, primate and yeast. Rad51C is a Rad51 paralog, which is a homologue of RecA (E. coli). It is involved in homologous recombination during DNA replication and repair.

Immunogen
This antibody was raised by immunising mice with the denaturated recombinant human RAD51C-His10 protein which had been purified from 2.4 liters of E. coli FB810 recA− pLysS carrying pRAD51C-16b.
Application Notes
WB: Rad51C 2H11/6 antibody was used to visualise Rad51C on Western blots in multiple experiments (Masson et al., 2001). IF/ICC: This antibody was also used to stain Rad51C in HEK293 cells during experiments aimed at determining the cellular localization of Rad51C (Bennett and Knight, 2005).
