Specificity
This antibody recognises human and mouse RAP1, which is a part of the shelterin complex involved in the regulation of telomere length and protection. Additionally, RAP1 acts as transcription factor at extratelomeric sites regulating gene expression.

Application Notes
WB and IHC: RAP1 was visualised multiple times in different Western blot analyses using RAP1 4C8/1 antibody; furthermore, this antibody was used to identify RAP1 immunohistochemically in invasive ductal carcinoma samples in experiments on the RAP1's role in regulating NF-kappaB (Teo et al., 2010). WB: Tascher et al. (2017) compared RAP1 protein amounts in mice skeletal muscle samples on Western blots using this antibody to investigate changes in expression of telomeric proteins during space flights. IF/ICC: RAP1 was successfully visualised in hMSCs using RAP1 4C8/1 antibody (Zhang et al., 2019).
