Specificity
This antibody reacts specifically with snake venom metalloproteinase (SVMP) TM-3 present in the venom of Protobothrops mucrosquamatus. SVMP is a potent fibrinogenolytic protease which cleaves mainly the alpha chain of fibrinogen (FGA) and slightly the beta (FGB) and the gamma (FGG) chains. It has hemorrhagic activity.

Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with natural snake venom metalloproteinase TM-3 purified from crude venom of Protobothrops mucrosquamatus.
Application Notes
This antibody can be used for the detection of SVMP protein of Trimeresurus mucrosquamatus by ELISA. The binding specifcity of the antibody was further confirmed by detection of the protein in a western blot (CN113832132; PMID: 34899734).
