The original antibody was raised by immunizing a llama with SOD1 WT, familial ALS-linked SOD1 G93A and SOD1ox.
Application Notes
The original antibody was used for an ELISA on recombinant SOD1 proteins. This antibody was used in vitro on HEK293T cells to see the interaction between SOD1 and the antibody. The experiment lead to an increase in signal intensities for healthy SOD1. restoring the correct balance. This antibody was used for immunofluorescence on HEK293T cells o-transfected with myc-tagged SOD1 WT, SOD1 A4V, or SOD1 G93A. This antibody is able to form a complex with SOD1 A4V making both more heat resistant (Kumar et al., 2022; PMID:36555655).
