This Fab antibody fragment was raised using YSGR phage display library against a branched RNA fragment corresponding in sequence to the branch region of the pre-mRNA intron derived from the YBL059W gene from S. cerevisiae.
Application Notes
It was demonstrated that the binding of BRP Fab fragment to the RNA molecule stabilised an RNA hairpin structure which was not steady in the absence of the Fab (Shao et al., 2016). Consequently, BRP might be used to capture dynamic RNAs in distinct conformational states and allow structural analysis of nucleic acids. Additionally, BRG Fab antibody fragment was shown to inhibit Dbr1 debranching of the RNA target (Shao et al., 2016).
