Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing rabbits with recombinant phosphorylated peptide pSTAT3 (PGSAAP-pY-LKTKGGGSC) conjugated with KLH as an immunogen.
Application Notes
The binding reactivity of this antibody to recombinant phosphorylated pSTAT3 peptide was confirmed using ELISA. The binding reactivity was further confirmed using western blot, of STAT3 protein IFN-α-treated cells. The scFv version of this antibody was used fused to human IgG1 using a suitable linker for the generation of scFv-Fc mini-antibody. This minibody was capable of immunoprecipitating pSTAT3 in the cell lysate of HeLa cells treated with IFN-α (US20090233358).
