Immunogen
Derived from normal B cells in peripheral blood of a Burkitt’s lymphoma patient. Screened more than 60 culture supernatants from lymphoblastoid cell lines of normal origin, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)- carrying Burkitt lymphomas, EBV-negative Burkitt lymphomas and EBV-converted sublines of original EBV- negative Burkitt lymphoma human B-cell lines for their capacity to bind the synthetic peptide autoantigens. One lymphoblastoid B-cell line was identified, IARC307, that produces IgM kappa antibodies which specifically react with the CDR1 peptide corresponding to human Vbeta8.1 gene sequence.
Application Notes
IARC307 has been used in ELISAs to bind to synthetic peptides of CRD1 region from several TCR Vbeta families of man and mouse (Marchalonis 2000).
