The original antibody was generated by panning a human phage antibody library against TGF beta1.
Application Notes
The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The ability of the scFv fragment to recognise TGFβ1 and neutralise binding of TGFβ1 to A549 cells was measured in the radioreceptor assay. The scFv fragment was a highly potent, neutralising antibody for TGFβ1, with IC50 values in the range 0.03 to 0 1 nM. In particular, the scFv fragment could neutralise active, but not latent, TGFβ1 (US7151169B2).
