Specificity
The antibody is specific for TSH. Thyroid stimulating hormone is a pituitary hormone that stimulates the thyroid gland to produce thyroxine (T4), and then triiodothyronine (T3) which stimulates the metabolism of almost every tissue in the body. It is a glycoprotein hormone produced by thyrotrope cells in the anterior pituitary gland, which regulates the endocrine function of the thyroid.
Alternative Names
CGMCNO.22318; Thyrotropin; Thyroid stimulating hormone; Thyrotropin subunit beta; Thyroid-stimulating hormone subunit beta; TSH-B; TSH-beta; Thyrotropin beta chain; INN: Thyrotropin alfa
UniProt
P01222
Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with TSH.
Application Notes
The antibody specifically detected TSH by Western blot analysis. The antibody 11A2A8B7 and the commercial antibody TSH (TSH01 + TSH02) were used to stain pituitary tumors. Results showed the antibody specificity is comparable to the commercial antibody. Further, the sensitivity of the antibody 11A2A8B7 was higher than the commercial antibody. The antibody and the commercially available antibody TSH (TSH01 + TSH02) were simultaneously detected on the normal tissue chip, indicating that the specificity of the antibody in normal tissue was equivalent to that of the commercially available antibody (CN114149503A).
