Specificity
This antibody binds human VEGFR2. VEGFR2 is a tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as a cell- surface receptor for VEGFA, VEGFC and VEGFD. It plays an essential role in the regulation of angiogenesis, vascular development, vascular permeability, and embryonic hematopoiesis. Promotes proliferation, survival, migration and differentiation of endothelial cells and promotes reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton.

The original antibody was generated by cloning the light chain and heavy chain variable region genes VL and VH of the anti-human VEGFR-2 antibody from the self-constructed and cultured anti- human VEGFR-2 murine monoclonal antibody mAb hybridoma cell line and using a set of designed primers to chimerically recombine mouse VL and VH with CL and CH of human IgG1.
Application Notes
This antibody is recommended for detection of human VEGFR-2 protein through ELISA. Competitive ELISA confirmed that this antibody competes with recombinant VEGF to bind to recombinant human VEGFR-2 protein. This antibody was also used for the immunohistocemical analysis of HUVEC cells expressing VEGFR-2 protein
