Cat. No.
MABL-3210
Application
WB, ELISA
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Human
Clone No.
Nb79
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody binds the human vimentin. Vimentins are class-III intermediate filaments found in various non-epithelial cells, especially mesenchymal cells. Vimentin is attached to the nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, and mitochondria, either laterally or terminally.
Alternative Names
VIM
UniProt
P08670
Immunogen
The original antibody was isolated from a VHH library generated by immunization of an alpaca with whole glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cells.
Application Notes
The binding reactivity of this antibody towards vimentin was checked using ELISA. This antibody can also be used to identify vimentin in a western blot (PMID: 28498803).
