Specificity | This antibody binds lutein and also cross reacts with other xanthophylls like astaxanthin, meso- zeaxanthin or zeaxanthin. Lutein is a xanthophyll synthesized by plants and like other xanthophylls is found in high quantities in green leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale and yellow carrots. |
