| Basic Information | |
| Specificity | This antibody recognizes murine integrine MAC-1 (Itgam/Cd11b). This integrin is implicated in various adhesive interactions of monocytes, macrophages and granulocytes as well as in mediating the uptake of complement-coated particles and pathogens. |
| Alternative Name | CD11b; Integrin alpha-M; CD11 antigen-like family member B; CR-3 alpha chain; Cell surface glycoprotein MAC-1 subunit alpha; Leukocyte adhesion receptor MO1; YBM 15.1.6; YBM15.1.6 |
| UniProt | P05555 |
| Immunogen | This antibody was derived from fusions between the 210 RC Y3/Ag 1.2.3 rat myeloma cell line and spleen cells from rats hyperimmunized with adult mouse bone marrow. |
| Application Notes | This antibody is recommended for the detection and analysis of MAC-1, the murine equivalent of CD11b. For instance, YBM15.1 was used in a panel of antibodies in the assessment of the presence of antigenic determinants on normal erythroid progenitors via flow cytometry (Watt et al., 1987; pmid: 3330997). This antibody was used to detect the integrin MAC-1 in the neural tissue of Biozzi ABH mice infected with Semliki Forest virus (SFV) A7(74) via immunohistochemistry (Smith et al., 2000; pmid: 10814783). |
