TARDBP Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 414 amino acids (1-414 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 44.7kDa. TARDBP is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction
TAR
DNA Binding Protein (TARDBP) was initially recognized as a transcriptional repressor
which binds to chromosomally integrated TAR DNA and represses HIV-1
transcription. In addition, TARDBP has been detected in individuals diagnosed
with chronic traumatic encephalopathy as well, which is a condition that often
imitates ALS and has
been related with athletes who have experienced multiple concussions and other
types of head injury . TARDBP
has been shown to bind both DNA and RNA, it has multiple functions in
transcriptional repression, pre-mRNA splicing and translational regulation .

Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
Formulation
TARDBP protein solution (0.25mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl (pH8.0), 1mM DTT, 0.1M NaCl, 10% glycerol and 1mM EDTA.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
