Cat. No.
MABL-100
Application
ICC, WB
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Rat, Mouse
Clone No.
N151/3.3
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody is specific for the GABA(A) receptor subunit delta. GABA, the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the vertebrate brain, mediates neuronal inhibition by binding to the GABA/benzodiazepine receptor and opening an integral chloride channel.
Alternative Names
N151/3.3R; N151/3; Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit delta; GABA(A) receptor subunit delta
UniProt
P18506
Immunogen
This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with synthetic peptide amino acids 15- 34 (CTQPHHGARAMNDIGDYVGS, extracellular N-terminus) of rat GABA-A-R-Delta.
Application Notes
This antibody has been used for western blotting on the hippocampi of rats (Kharmalov et al, 2011; PMID:21439793)
