Specificity
This antibody is specific for SynCAM4 and shows no cross reaction with other SynCAMs. SynCAM is involved in the cell-cell adhesion. Has calcium- and magnesium-independent cell-cell adhesion activity. May have tumor-suppressor activity.

Immunogen
This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with a fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 1-321 (signal peptide and extracellular N-terminus) of mouse SynCAM4.
Application Notes
This antibody was used in immunofluorescense experiments on COS-1 cell lines (Gong et al, 2016; PMID:26644354). The antibody was used in western blotting of sciatic nerves of mice (Saitoh et al, 2018; PMID:30357511). Immunohistochemistry was also preformed on sciatic nerves of mice using this antibody (Saitoh et al, 2018; PMID:30357511).
