Specificity
This antibody is specific for the synaptotagmin-3 protein. The antibody does not cross-react with other Synaptotagmins. Synaptotagmin-3 is a Ca2+ sensor involved in Ca2+-dependent exocytosis of secretory vesicles through Ca2+ and phospholipid binding to the C2 domain.

Application Notes
This antibody is recommended for the detection and analysis of Synaptotagmin-3 by immunocytochemistry and western blot. For instance, the mouse version of this antibody was used to detect Synaptotagmin-3 by western blot in extracts of COS cells transiently transfected with GFPtagged Synaptotagmin or untagged Kv2.1 plasmids.
