This antibody is specific for Versican epitope: amino acids 362-585 (glucosaminoglycan alpha domain) of mouse Versican core protein. Versican may play a role in intercellular signaling and in connecting cells with the extracellular matrix. May take part in the regulation of cell motility, growth and differentiation. Binds hyaluronic acid.

This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with versican epitope: amino acids 362- 585 (glucosaminoglycan alpha domain) of mouse Versican core protein.
Application Notes
This antibody is recommended for detection and analysis of versican by immunocytochemsitry and western blot. For instance, the mouse version of this antibody was used to detect versican by immunofluorescence in adult spinal cord from versican wild-type and knockout mice.
