Specificity
This antibody is specific for amino acids 327-450 of mouse GABA-A-R-Beta1. It shows no cross- reactivity against GABA-A-R-Beta2 or -Beta3. GABA-A-R-Beta1 is a component of the heteropentameric receptor for GABA, the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the vertebrate brain. It also functions as histamine receptor and mediates cellular responses to histamine.

This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with a fusion protein of amino acids 327-450 of mouse GABA-A-R-Beta1.
Application Notes
This antibody has been used for immunoblotting on rat and mouse brain samples (King et al, 2014; PMID:24477962). This antibody has been used for immunoblotting on the cortex of mice (Zhou et al, 2013; PMID:23744069).
